3 It gives us immense pleasure to heartily welcome you all here to participate and celebrate in the autumn, General Assembly 2017 of International Federation of Mountain Guides Association (IFMGA) in Himalayan country Nepal hosted by Nepal National Mountain Guide Association (NNMGA). You travel long distances serves to remind us all just how important our profession is. We are cordially grateful to you all for you graceful effort to be here with us. Thanking you all.
4 ABOUT NNMGA Founded on April 4 Monday, 2005, Nepal National Mountain Guide Association (NNMGA) is a member country representative of International Federation of Mountain Guide Association (UIAGM/IFMGA). This association is established with an objective to unite manpower involved in mountaineering profession and develop their standard activities in mountaineering to provide additional economic support to the nation through such trained manpower. Considering criteria of International Federation of Mountain Guide Association (IFMGA), this association in coordination with concerned line agencies and different organization / Institution is committed to conduct training to produce trained manpower quality service and minimize risks relating to mountaineering. After its establishment, NNMGA started its formal mountain guide education under the supervision of the representative of International Federation of Mountain Guide Association (IFMGA), the course module was signified by IFMGA. Our continuous practice and unbreakable effort on mountain guide education formation for 7 years; we are integrated as member country representative of Nepal to International Federation of Mountain Guide Association (IFMGA) on 3rd May 2012.
5 PROGRAM VENUE: ANNAPURNA HOTEL The IFMGA autumn 2017 general meeting will take place in Annapurna Hotel, Durbar Marg, Kathmandu. Kathmandu is the capital city of Nepal. Durbar Marg also known as King s Way and is very convenient location. It s 10 mins walking distance from Thamel. There are plenty of restaurant and shops too.

Last month of November is very close to end of autumn and beginning of winter. Warm clothes are recommended. During the day it s pleasant with temperature of 15 to 18 degree Celsius where as nights and morning are cold with temperature of 5 to 8 degree Celsius. Airport Transfer: Prepaid taxis are easily available at the arrival section after checking through immigration and collection your luggage. From airport to Hotel is around 5 kms. It takes from 20 mins to 40 mins depending on traffic. Prepaid taxi will charge NPR 800. And the prices are fixed.
