3 There is no better view of Lake Garda as the one offered by Rifugio San Pietro, which is located at the south hillside of the Monte Calino. Also a view out of an airplane cannot compete with this beautiful panorama. Furthermore you can enjoy delicious food of Trentino at the panoramic terrace. These are only a few reasons why the Rifugio is such an attractive destination for EMTB. At this more easy tour you are going to pass Lake Garda first by cycling from Torbole to Riva (731) to enter the bike path leading to Varignano. From this point on we are driving on the great panoramic track also used for the BIKE Festival Marathon. A quiet steep gravel road leads uphill to Volta di No (742). After this part it will be softer as we are going to Tenno. From there on a steep asphalt road, passing Ville del Monte, leads to the foot of the Monte Calino (772) a great opportunity to test the power and all opportunities of your EMTB. After crossing a e Palazzo Marchetti. thick forest the Rifugio San Pietro is reached. It's like stepping on a big balcony with a great view over Riva and the whole northern Lake Garda. Lunch includes local gastronomic specialties. We are going to continue through the forest but taking an easier forest path, passing Bastiani, back to the foot of Monte Calino (771). From there a gravel road leads in the direction of Treni: a trail in the wood (745). In the past it was quiet tough but now it is manageable for everyone, as it got reconstructed. Finishing this exciting downhill session we continue to Varignano. These are only a few reasons why the Rifugio is such an attractive destination for EMTB. This more difficult tour starts with a relaxing path from Torbole to Riva on the promenade (731) right next to Lake Garda. After entering the center of Riva the special route, especially made for EMTB experts is going to start. Instead of taking the asphalt road, we are taking the more steep but attractive way through the beautiful olive groves and gardens up to Deva (734). Shortly behind Deva a technical highlight is waiting for you: first a steep downhill trail leading to Valle dei Molini (736) has to be managed, followed by an uphill trail nearly as steep as the downhill part has been a real EMTB terrain. After passing Valle dei Molini everybody knows why EMTBs are so much fun! From Tenno further on we are taking the same route as the easier San Pietro tour (772) to get to the Monte Calino, but integrate some unknown trails to reach the top of the mountain. Experienced bikers are having fun for sure. As a result we arrive at the Rifugio San Pietro from above but have the same delicious local gastronomic specialties and great panoramic views like the bikers doing the easier version. After the rich lunch we are going to continue through the forest but taking an easier forest path back to the foot of Monte Calino. From there a gravel road leads in the direction of Treni. 6 Big movie, but difficult trails that is the common opinion of tours in the region of the northern Lake Garda. Beautiful panorama, but totally different is this EMTB tour through the cliffy rock landscape of the Marocche in the Sarca Valley. The paths are unusual comfortable and amabile (lovely) what the Italians are used to say. Therefore this tour can be done by everybody. The Marocche tour is a classic one at Lake Garda this version is easy to drive most of the time, technical skills aren't necessary. Only the short trail south of Pietramurata will get a bit more complicated, but can be done also as a beginner. The panorama of this tour is totally different in comparison to the one which is expected to be next to Lake Garda: Except the bike path along the lake at the beginning you won't see much of the Lake Garda. No reasons to be sad, as you are going to pass by awesome, kilometer-high completely plain sharpened rock faces in the Sarca Valley. The glaciers formed this valley ten thousand years ago and left these even climbing walls, but also huge rubble fields out of sharp, grey stone the Marocche. After the start in Torbole (731) we are taking the cycling path right next to Lake Garda to Arco. From there an asphalt bike path leads us through the stony Marocche landscape to Pietramurata (750). From there on we are rolling on the right side of the valley (747) back through the cliffy rubble fields, the Marocche, with their grey rocks, always underneath the imposing rock faces of the Monte Casale. Then a fine gravel road proceeds through beautiful olive groves, passing Dro, to the Roman Bridge at Ceniga. From Ceniga small asphalt roads next to the Sarca are leading to Arco the castle on the top of the mountain is always visible. Finally the route guides through the old city center of Arco (attention: many pedestrians but also great ice cream places) and on the cycling path back to Linfano (766), where we are going to raise our glasses in a toast to this awesome tour we had. In total this tour is perfect for beginners and families without big demands regarding technique and cardio. This tour will outclass all Lake Garda experiences you ever had: the Marocche landscape is full of thousands and thousands of rock fragments at the Sarca valley in the north of Arco. The rocks fallen down of the craggy Monte Casale in the direction of Lago di Cavedine in the last great Ice Age and now offering an awesome setting for bike tours. The Marocche di Dro are the classic, the Super-Marocche is a version with more trails and GPS data offered and the optimum the Mega-Marocche- is a tour which offers the most trail fun available. These trails are mostly flow trails, which can be done by less experienced bikers as well. The version, starting at Torbole, uses first the well-known way through Arco, then Pianaura (760), to Drena (759)with the prominent ruin. After the route passes sometimes gravel and sometimes asphalt roads (755, 756) to reach the Passo Udalrico you get into the unlimited trail reservoir between Cavedine and the Lake Cavedine (752). If would be quite perplexing to explain the route more in detail. Just follow our guides to explore these amazing trails in such a beautiful landscape. When reached the most distant point of the track the small parking area of San Siro- there will be a downhill to Lake Cavedine, which is fun and easy to ride next to cliffy climbing walls at the beginning. The end gets a bit more complicated and asks for some technical skills. Who of you is not that well approved in technique has to get of the bike for some short parts. After having lunch at the vine cellars of Pisoni we take a short asphalt street to get to the north of Lake Cavedine. To get to the other side the course uses intricate forest paths and the best flow trails of the region (751). Believe me, you won't find better trails somewhere else. Taking a short asphalt uphill you are going to roll back in the direction of Arco and on the cycle path back to Lifano (731,766), where we are going to raise our glasses in a toast to the great tour we ve had. A pleasure for all E-bikers, also if some less experienced bikers have to get of the saddle at a few parts.

9 Maso Naranch is one of the most beautiful places at the northern Lake Garda. From this house underneath the Monte Creino you have a beautiful view over the whole Lake Garda if the weather is nice you can see until Sirmione. But this isn t the whole story: Nearly ten years ago Lorenzo Benoni and his wife Maura Widesott bought this old house, remodeled everything in the old style and built up an Agriturismo with a tiny restaurant and a beautiful terrace. The problem was that the house is located far away from Nago and aside the main routes, so nobody found this awesome place. As a result Lorenzo had the idea to construct a bike trail, which goes nearby the Maso Naranch the Naranch Trail. Together with some friends he comb through the forest area at the hillside between Monte Velo and Nago and found a lot of small buildings of hunters, which aren t in use anymore. With shovel and pick they started to clean and correct the paths, so they built up a new 5 km long Lake Garda trail in about three years. This beautiful trail measures 800 m difference in altitude and offers fun for each level of biker as some parts are more steep, stony and tough to drive. The important thing: the Naranch-trail neither touches any private property, nor path of the Alpin Club. As a result there are no limitations. To get to the Maso Naranch you can use different routes- the easy version uses the cycling path from Torbole to Arco (731,766) until the steep gravel road from Bolognano to Monte Velo starts (759). With EMTB this uphill won t be any problem for you. After a short side trip to a gorgeous panoramic view point near of Malga Fiavei, the steep but curvy forest path goes further on to the back of the Monte Brugnolo. Then a quiet abrasive but doable trail (761) for everyone is leading downhill to Maso Naranch and his perfect combination of panorama and local gastronomical specialties on the terrace. After lunch we are going to continue on easy trails and small asphalt roads down to Nago (761). From Nago a bike path is leading back to Forte Alto, an old fortress of the First World War, where we are going to have an aperitif. From Santa Barbara we climb the Monte Creino by small asphalt roads and later by meadow trails (761). After this panoramic experience we take short gravel downhill to the past trench of the First World War. Here the Naranch trail starts: first quiet easy and comfortable but will get more stony, steep and technical as we are going further on. After a difference of nearly 400 meters in altitude we arrive at Maso Naranch to have lunch with local gastronomic specialties. After lunch we continue on easy trails but also difficult channels down to Nago (761). From Nago a bike path is leading back to Forte Alto, an old fortress of the First World War, where we can have an aperitif to celebrate this fantastic tour. Who isn't sure if this version of the Naranchtrail is too difficult for him, can also use the old transalp course to Malga Fiavei and then take the forest road at Monte Brugnole to get to Maso Naranch see the easier version.
