They MUST be removed to the parking area immediately after unloading. Only trailers will be allowed to stay at the campsite. No ground fires will be permitted. Any fires must be contained, off the ground. The buildings which are part of the museum are off limits. They will not be open during the Klondike Derby. This area is an outdoor museum. As good stewards of our environment and guests of the museum, we will be expected to leave the area as we found it.

3 KLONDIKE SLED PLAN A diagram below is a suggested plan for your Klondike sledge. You may wish to develop your own plans, decorations, and build your sledge from native material. Most of the material can be secured at no cost from lumberyard scrap piles or from materials that may be lying around in garages of parents of boys. Keep these points in mind as you build sledges: 1. Sledges must be a minimum of 72 inches long. 2. Sledges must be a minimum of 24 inches wide. Please note that wheels will NOT be allowed on sleds. This will result in disqualification from the races and a loss of 20 points. 4 RULES FOR KLONDIKE DERBY RACE Minimum of 2 people with the sled. Scouts must stay with the sled, if someone falls, the sled must wait. Sled must remain on the ground. Sled must have been checked in at registration and used in skills competition. No wheels on sled. There will be 3 classes: 13 & under 15 & under 17 & under Trophies will be presented to the winner of each class. Please note: Younger scouts may compete in an older class, but older scouts may not participate in a younger class.

Pathfinder points are earned by being at the correct event in the order shown on your score sheet. Scout spirit points are given for leadership, teamwork, and following the Scout Law. Lunch 12:00-1:00 - Stations closed for lunch After completion, turn in your score sheet at sled check in table. Ties will be broken by the time score sheets are turned in. Activity Stations end at 2:30 PM!!!! Sled Races 13 and under 3:00 PM 15 and under to follow 17 and under last Score Sheet Turn In Time: Trophy presentation and Flag Closing after last race. Have Fun!
