The sights from the windows of our jet shows us glimmering snow-capped mountain peaks spread out down below us, giving us the first thrills of our just begun vacation, sparking off a whole reaction of unforgettable experiences that stay with us for some time to come. As soon as your plane hits the tarmac of Tribhuwan International Airport, Mountain Sherpa Trekking office representative and driver will be on standby to meet and greet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel. The rep will help you check into your designated hotel, and after going to our rooms and refreshing ourselves we will be briefed about our daily activities. The rest of your time is free to move around the neighborhood and get familiar with your surroundings. Welcome Dinner Day 02:: Full day Kathmandu city Sightseeing and Trek Preparation- Overnight Hotel After a good night s sleep and enjoying a hearty b/fast, we proceed for our tour of Basantapur Durbar Square. Recorded by UNESCO as a cultural World Heritage site, Kathmandu Durbar Square is a bunch of medieval temples, palaces, courtyards and streets that date back to the 12th and 18th centuries. within this square we will find Hanumandhoka Palace Museum,

3 Taleju Temple, Kumari Ghar (House of the Living Goddess), Kasthamandap and other temples and buildings as old as the city itself; from here we head for a tour of the famous Boudhanath Stupa {said to be the largest in the world) and a major centre of Tibetan culture in Kathmandu. The stupa is designed to be like a giant mandala (a representation of the Buddhist cosmos). We next drive down to Swayambhunath {popularly known as Monkey Temple} Swayambhu means self-created and refers to the myth that the hill sprung up suddenly from a great lake that once covered Kathmandu Valley. Our next destination is Pashupatinath Temple. This temple is dedicated to Hindu deity Lord Shiva and is said to be the most holy Hindu shrine in Nepal. We then wrap up our Heritage tour with a trip to Patan which is one of the three medieval cities in Kathmandu and a destination for connoisseurs of great arts. We return back to our hotel, refresh, and trek Preparation, have an early supper and retire to bed, most probably. Overnight Hotel Breakfast included Day 03:: Drive Kathmandu to Soti Khola (700m/2,296ft) 7-8 hours drive-overnight lodge/homestay After healthy breakfast at hotel, we take our private jeep for Arughat-Soti Khola drive. This is a beautiful road through the 135 km from Kathmandu Valley. The views are spectacular and the road into the mountains from Thankot. Arrive Dading beshi, crossing the bridge, then climb to Ramkot. Stop for Lunch then continuation to Arughat where where we change our jeep & we take local jeep up Soti Khola. Route: 135 km, about 7 hours drive (the road between Kathmandu / Arughat is sometimes disrupted due to traffic). Day 04:: Soti Khola to Maccha Khola (870m/2,952ft): 6-7 hours-overnight lodge/homestay Cross the bridge and trek through the beautiful Sal forests, then climb onto a ridge above huge rapids on the Budhi Gandaki. The rocky trail then weaves its way up and down, past two tropical waterfalls on a steep, rocky trail clinging to the side of a cliff. It eventually makes its way down and past a few rice terraces, then up and around to the Gurung village of Labubesi. Climb behind a rocky outcrop, where the valley opens and the Budhi Gandaki meanders among wide gravel bars. Drop to the sandy river bed and walk along rounded stones before climbing over a side ridge. Head down again to the river and traverse to Machha Khola village. Overnight at Machha Khola. Day 05:: Maccha Khola to Jagat (2340m/7676ft): 6-7 hours-overnight lodge/homestay The area of cultivated land ends, the slopes become too steep, the few remaining fields are poor. We follow the river wedged between two cliffs to the hot springs of Tatopani. Changing the bank by a suspension bridge, we enter a wooded area. Further, the river becomes turbulent, forcing his way among the rocks. Crossing Nero, zone of very high rocky cliffs, and continued to Jagat. overnight stay at lodge. Day 06:: Jagat (1,415 m) to Lokpa (1,900m/6,234ft): 4-5 hours-overnight lodge/homestay The trail crosses the river and climbs over a rocky ridge to the settlement of Salleri and then Setibas, where several mani

You pass through Philim and continue onwards to Lokpa, which is 1.5 hours of ascent above the main Manaslu valley and considered the entry point to the Tsum Valley. Overnight lodge/homestay. Day 07:: Lokpa to Chumling (2,386m/7,827ft): 6-7 hours-overnight lodge/homestay In the morning you will follow undulating path through thick forest to Gadh Khola for lunch. From here you'll cross the Syar Khola via a suspension bridge, with the trail climbing up to the village of Chumling. Overnight at lodge/homestay. Day 08:: Chumling to Chokhangparo [3,010m/9,903ft] 4-5 hours- Overnight lodge/homestay Cross the suspension bridge onto the opposite bank. Enjoy the great views of Ganesh Himal. Walk past Rainjam to Serpu Khola crossing another bridge we arrive at the Gho Village. Another continues 2 hours climb to Tsum takes us to the village of Chhokangparo. Weather permitting; enjoy the views of Himalchuli at 7,893 meters and Ganesh Himal at 7,140m. Overnight at Lodge/Homestay. Day 09:: Chokhangparo to Chhule-Nile [3,361m/11,058ft]: 5-6 hours-overnight lodge/homestay The valley is now much broader. You'll follow the trail on the west side of the river through Lamagao (3,302m). Just beyond here is Milrepa Cave (a 1-hour detour) from where there are stunning views across the valley. The trail continues to Phurbe and Pangdun before continuing to Chhule-Nile. The gompa above Chhule is particularly fine and worth visiting as it's also an excellent viewpoint. Overnight lodge/homestay. Day 10:: Nile to Mu Gompa [3,700m/12,174ft]: 3 hours-overnight lodge/homestay Mu Gompa is located in a remote position a couple of hours walking beyond Nile. Establishd in 1895 A.D. and restored in 1998, it's on the trail that local people use to go to Tibet. You will be able to visit the gompa, and walk higher above it to get some great views before returning there to sleep.if Amshi is present in the village, his little clinic where we will visit it heal with herbs from the slopes of the mountains surrounding the valley. We win Mu monastery perched on the old part below and the new buildings of the young monks above. We are a few hours of Tibet with the feeling of being at the end of the world.overnight lodge. Day 11:: Rest day in Mu Gompa- local sightseeing-overnight lodge/homestay Today we make a sightseeing of the whole Mu Gompa Region. Mu Gompa is the largest monastery in the region. The Gompa lies at the highest and most remote part of the Tsum Valley. After exploring the Mu Gompa area, you may also consider the option of getting to the base of Pika Himal (4865m). overnight lodge

5 Day 12:: Trek to Rachen Gompa [3,240m/ 10,629]:5-6 hours-overnight lodge/homestay After a morning of exploraton up the valley to Kalung and Bhajyo (4,030m), you'll descend to Rachen Gompa, the biggest nunnery/monastery in the valley, with a beautifully painted interior of Buddhist murals. Overnight lodge. Day 13:: Rachen Gompa to Dumje [2,440m/8,006ft]: 5-6 hours-overnight lodge/homestay After breakfast The trail descend to Chekam which marks the entrance to the hidden valley. The village gives its name to the whole region "Chekampar". We leave the narrow and steep slopes above the Shiar Khola. Tibetan houses here are awesome like the Gompa. Lamas have an important role in village life. The bravest can visit the sacred cave nearby that houses a footprint of Milarepa. we continue walk to Dumje. Overnight Lodge/Homestay. Day 14:: Dumje [ 2,440m] to Lokpa [2,040m/6,693ft]: 4-5 Hours-Overnight lodge/homestay From Dumje we trek to Philim and cross Ripchet. On the way we pass one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the Lower Tsum Valley, Samba Tingding Chhupyang. Overnight Lodge/Homestay. Day 15:: Trek to Tatopani [9,90m/3,248ft]: 4-5 hours-overnight lodge/homestay You re-join the main Budhi Gandaki Valley and descend to Tatopani. Overnight lodge. Day 16:: Trek to Soti Khola [720m/2,362ft]: 4-5 hours-overnight lodge/homestay From Tatopani we trek to Soti Khola. We pass through terraced fields and tropical waterfalls and finally set up camp at the village.overnight Lodge. Day 17:: Trek to Arughat [606m], return to Kathmandu by Private Jeep- Overnight Hotel Your final morning of trekking before driving back to Kathmandu in the evening. Overnight hotel.
