2 Day 1 - Bangkok, Thailand Say sawasdee kha! It s Bangkok time - prepare for the next few days of adventure. If you arrive early, fill up on culture at the 100+ museums and get lost in nearby temples. Tonight you ll meet your new BFF s and hit the streets of Bangkok for a street food tour by tuk tuk. What a welcome! Take in your surrounds and get excited, it s going to be an incredible adventure. Day 2 - Bangkok The sights of Bangkok are calling - rise and shine, or you ll miss out! Feast on brekkie, then prepare for today s city tour as we cover the A-Z of this beautiful, buzzing city. For the record, we re rolling through the city and ticking off the buddha statues at Wat Traimit, making a stop at Wat Pho and having our own jaw-drop moment at the sparkling Grand Palace. Just wow. Before the day is out, feast your eyes on tonight s optional Nava dinner cruise. #Authentic. -Half day city tour via local transport -Lunch -Nava dinner cruise Day 3 - Bangkok to Ayutthaya via Bang Pa-In History buffs say ahhhh we re off to Ayutthaya - the former royal capital once upon a time. You re on the culture trail, and this is an essential stop. Learn a thing or two as we stop off at Bang Pa-In Royal Palace, the former Summer Royal Residence of King Rama V. Keep your jaw off the floor, k? -Visit to the Bang Pa-In Royal Palace Day 4 - Ayutthaya to Chiang Mai Today s your last chance to get as much Ayutthaya action as possible, tonight you ll travel by overnight choo-choo (train, duh!) to Chiang Mai. Day 5 - Chiang Mai Open your eyes you ve arrived in Chiang Mai. Straddling the historic crossroads and key areas in the region, we ve stepped right into a fusion of cultures. Nice! Keep your eyes peeled as we roll in style by trishaw on a city tour. All the sights. Phew!

Recharge those batteries and explore the city at your own pace - we re talking backstreets steeped in history with a story to tell. Optional alert: for the daredevils - make like a monkey with a Flight of the Gibbon treetop adventure and for the foodies, feast on a countryside dinner experience in Kad Mua theme. We re heading north to Pai, no lie. Before we set your free, make the most of an included city tour of Pai. Heads up, there s a buzzing music scene calling your name. And, GO! -Guided tour of Pai Day 8 - Pai to Phuket via Chiang Mai Time for Phuket. YES! Known to some as the pearl of the Andaman, call it what you want you know it will be a great time. Drop your bags and prepare for a nomfest of street food. Hungry? Good. This one s for you. See the streets come alive as you explore the colourful blend of cultures and influences that make Phuket sparkle. FYI: you re surrounded by some of the world's best beaches, so enjoy and get exploring! Live it up with a free day to do as you please. Fill the day by sipping on a sample of local brews with a visit to a

4 rum distillery (optional), or for the adventure fiends, let s talk about the tree top zip-lining optional. Tonight, dinner is all you - go forth and explore the streets for local treats. -Rum Distillery tour -Tree-top zip lining Day 10 - Phuket to Krabi Leave Phuket then head to Krabi and roam free, taking selfies and just generally being awesome. Take the option to paddle your way across the 50 shades of blue surrounding Krabi. Here, it s all about the sunsets and the beach - exactly why you came here, right? Find a steaming dish of pad thai, grab a satay stick and end the day on a high. Cocktails by the beach, anyone? -Kayaking Day 11 - Krabi Beach-a-holics rejoyce! From one paradise to another, it just keeps getting better and today is no exception. Free day (hurray!) with more Krabi love as we spend the afternoon chillin, cookin or climbin, before the day is out. Thrill seekers, talk to us about rock climbing, we ll look after you. If that isn t enough to keep you entertained, just around the corner is a hidden gem of an island Railay. Explore the caves and keep your peepers peeled for some big ol limestone cliffs. Tonight say buh-bye to your new besties at the farewell dinner. -Half day rock climbing -Cooking class Day 12 - Krabi to Bangkok Today we swap Facey details and islands for cities, our trip ends just before lunch. 5 Hostel Plus trips host our most eclectic types of accommodation. While modern hostels make up the majority of your overnighters you could also stay in hotels (free upgrade yeah!). The More Inclusions section details what type of accommodation will be used for overnight stops on your trip. The number of people to a room on Hostel Plus trips will vary. For hostels you will have multi-share rooms and share with between 3 and 5 others while in hotels there will be twin or triple-shares (and the odd quad-room). Bungalows can be up to 4 people to a room. Please note: When staying on a Hostel Plus trip, multi-share accommodation is single-sex and therefore couples should not expect to share a room. Optional Activities On all trips we have arranged extra activities that we think will enhance your travel experience, but you have a choice as to whether or not you will participate. These are not included in the cost of your trip. They are usually organised on a group participation basis and should be taken into consideration when budgeting your spending money. None of the Optional Activities on your trip are operated by Topdeck, nor do they form part of your contract with Topdeck for your trip. Topdeck arranges the activity as an agent of the local supplier. Should you participate in any Optional Activities your contract will be with the local supplier and their conditions will apply. Breakfasts are included every day in the hotel (except on the first morning). They are usually 'continental breakfasts', which are typical in most countries. A typical breakfast may consist of cereals with milk or yoghurt, bread, croissants, cold meats, cheese and a range of spreads, with fruit juice, tea or coffee to drink. It is rare to get a hot breakfast in Asia, though on some occasions there may be some hot food available

6 as well. Included evening meals are in local restaurants or accommodation places, and are either two or three courses. In most cases table water is provided with the meals, and if you wish to purchase additional drinks you can do so at your own expense. If you have any dietary requirements we will make every effort to cater to your specific needs as long as you advise your travel agent or Topdeck Trip Consultant when you book, or make note of this in the Topdeck app when you check in (refer below). But please be aware that although we will do everything in our power to arrange it, we cannot guarantee that every restaurant we use will be able to cater to all dietary needs, particularly in Asia. We also cannot cater for tastes or dislikes, as most of our included evening meals feature a set menu. No Tip Necessary Your Topdeck crew never expect tips themselves and will not ask for any; that s not what friends do! We also know how much tipping can cost you. So go ahead, spoil yourself with the money you will save by travelling with Topdeck (just don t forget Mum s souvenir). Passenger safety One of the best parts of travelling is experiencing the nightlife and entertainment each city has to offer. However, amidst the fun and excitement, it s important to be aware of your surroundings and personal safety as well. Before you hit the road with us, it s important to be aware of the following: When you re on a night out, remember to avoid walking alone, particularly through deserted areas like beaches and back streets. Always stick together, take a taxi where possible, and keep a note of your accommodation details so you can find your way back to your fellow Topdeckers if you become separated. In some countries, alcoholic measures can be considerably larger than what you may be used to. Try to keep track of what you re drinking, and if you see one of your trip mates looking a little worse for wear, take them back to your accommodation. Be cautious when accepting drinks from strangers and never leave your drink unattended. It s also important to be aware that what you might consider harmless flirting may be interpreted differently in some countries. Be yourself and have fun, but don t be naïve, and be mindful of the signals you are sending out so that you don t find yourself in an uncomfortable situation.
