Half-Day Activities ATV Tour This tour is considered one of the most exciting trips across the dry forest of the Guanacaste region. Incredible views from the top of the mountains, the adventure of passing through rivers and the ride over the beach makes this tour simply unforgettable. The tour begins with a short ride on a paved road heading to the hills, once on the top, the ride continues downhill, to explore the dry forest and the rivers. The tour ends with a ride over the golden coastline, where participants will discover beautiful beaches. Please note this activity is not suitable for pregnant women. Participants must be at least 18 years of age. Schedule: Approx. 3 hours, door to door Pick Up: 9:00 a.m. Return: 12:15 p.m. Horseback Riding Pura Aventura's horses are well-groomed, even-tempered and sure-footed with a comfortable gait. Their ranch offers diverse terrain for leisurely rides or spirited gallops. You may see some tropical Costa Rican wildlife such as monkeys, birds and some reptiles. Participants must be at least 8 years of age. Participant weight limit is 200 pounds. Schedule: Approx. 3.5 hours, door to door Pick Up: 8:00 a.m. Return: 11:30 a.m. Canopy Tour This tour is located on a 150-year-old Costa Rican horse and cattle ranch with over 1,400 acres of natural resources. The hacienda encompasses nearly 800 acres of primary forest (old wood), 250 acres of secondary forest (new wood), 350 acres of tree-lined pastures, six rivers, multiple natural springs and two sets of waterfalls. On this canopy tour you will experience the magnificent views of our peaceful farm as well as spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean. As you enjoy the tour, you are likely to observe diverse wildlife. Monkeys and birds are plentiful but deer and puma also share this

2 natural habitat. This Canopy consists of 11 cables, a swinging bridge and a rappel, all designed to give you an exhilarating experience while safely soaring through the forest. Please note this activity is not suitable for pregnant women. Participant weight limit is 250 pounds. Participants must be at least 5 years of age. Schedule: Approx. 4 hours, door to door Pick Up: 9:15 a.m. Return: 1:05 p.m. Surfing Lessons Aside from all of the nice things that characterize the Tamarindo community, its unique beaches are perfect for surfing lessons. Lessons take approximately two hours and begin with a brief explanation covering safety tips and techniques to have fun while surfing. After a little practice on the sand with the surfboards, participants will go into the water to put into practice what they have learned. Schedule: Approx. 3.5 hours, door to door Pick Up: 8:00 a.m. Return: 11:30 a.m. Jet Ski In this two-hour guided tour, you will visit several spots and see the bay from a different perspective. It is a tour to enjoy the wonders of the Costa Rican Pacific coast and if you are lucky, you will see dolphins, which love to jump close to the jet skis. Jet ski s depart directly from the beach area at the Westin. Please note this activity is not suitable for pregnant women. Participants must be at least 18 years of age. Schedule: Approx. 2 hours Full-Day Activities Buena Vista Hacienda Combo Excursion The northern flanks of the Rincón de la Vieja volcano are a perfect place for enjoying several grouporiented activities. The activities will begin with the canopy tour, which will take participants through the tropical forest in a truly unique way. Equipped with a harness and accompanied by professional guides, participants will embark on an adventure that will take them across ten cables to connecting platforms, which sit in centuries-old trees. Right where the canopy ends, a 400-meter (1,300 foot) waterslide located in the middle of the forest will be waiting for the group. The slide is like a fountain of youth for grownups, and a rush of adrenaline to anyone who presumes to be very adventurous. After these two activities, participants will enjoy a delicious traditional Costa Rican lunch, offering the best of Costa Rica s local cuisine. Either a horseback ride or a trip in horse-drawn carriage will take the group to the thermal hot springs, where they will receive a volcanic mud treatment. The curative properties of the mud leaves the skin feeling rejuvenated. Here, guests can enjoy the hot springs, relax, and be a part of this special, natural environment. 3 Schedule: 10 hours, door to door Pick Up: 8:00 a.m. Return: 6:00 p.m. Palo Verde National Park & Hacienda El Vieljo The group will commence their journey enjoying a refreshing tropical fruits buffet by the courtyard at la Casona. Coffee or tea will be served while you take the best of Guanacaste s splendid landscape scattered by evergreen trees or flame-colored flowers visited by the loud magpie jays. Put away your cameras for just a moment and get ready to aim for a new world of exotic experiences beyond the hills. The forest road will take you nto a captivating journey amidst hidden trails and enticing rivers. Canopy-covered boats, expertly steered by our river captains, will allow you to enjoy a multitude of incredible tropical species such as rose spoon-billed or the mythical Jabirú stork. For the explorers, the trip brings the unique opportunity to observe reptiles such as crocodiles or the white-throated capuchin monkeys. During the one and half hour trip on the river, we will be able to understand how adventure photographers might feel when they approach and capture many of those unforgettable natural scenes in the wild. All too soon you will be back at Hacienda La Casona but the fun isn t over yet. An invigorating Costa Rican buffet will be provided. Magic is in the air while you enjoy the flavors of homemade cuisine festooned by traditions and delight! Schedule: 4 hours, door to door Pick Up: 8:00 a.m. Return: 3:00 p.m. Hacienda Guachipelin Combo Excursion Hacienda Guachipelin, dedicated to ecotourism, is situated at the foot of the Rincon de la Vieja volcano in Guanacaste. The Hacienda, surrounded by wealthy gardens, native trees, exotic flowers, and a variety of birds, has astonishing views of the Rincon de la Vieja volcano and the Pacific Ocean. If you are adventurous and love a good challenge, this action packed adventure is ideal for you. Participants choose (2) of the following activities: Río Negro Tubing Adventure, The Canyon Canopy Tour, Waterfalls Canyoneering Tour, Oropendola waterfall Tour Río Negro Tubing Adventure: After a horseback ride of 45 minutes through the forest participants arrive at the changing rooms where they prepare for the tubing adventure and have a short briefing about safety. After a short walk, you arrive at the foot of the Victoria waterfall, where the tubing starts. Everyone will get his or her own proper rafting tube. As you navigate through Río Negro s crystal clear rapids, the adrenaline in your body is sure to find its way out. After arriving at the end of the tubing adventure, the group will go back to the changing rooms and then proceed on horseback back to the Hacienda. The Canyon Canopy Tour: This tour starts with a short walk from the adventure center to the first canopy platform where, after a short briefing, the magic and exciting experience begins. This tour is the only one in the country that takes you in to a canyon and over a turbulent river. Imagine yourself rappelling, rock climbing, doing canopy, Tarzan swings, via ferrata and hanging bridges, all set in the majestic canyon made by the erosion of the Río Blanco over the course of millions of years. This amazing tour will let you enjoy a great variety of vegetation, birds, mammals, reptiles and much more. You have a chance to experience 12 cable rides, 24 platforms, 2 climbing walls, a hanging bridge, via a ferrata rappel, swing seats and a lot of adrenaline. Waterfalls Canyoneering Tour: After a 45 minute horseback ride, you arrive at the changing rooms to prepare for the Canyoneering tour. At the foot of the Victoria waterfall we ll have a short briefing about safety before you can begin your canyoneering adventure. As you move yourself by cable,

4 experience the effects of the swing going through the Victoria waterfall, jumping into the pool while rappelling, and climbing against the wall of the cascade. After this great tour ends we ll get changed again and board the bus back to the Hacienda. Oropéndola Waterfall: The Oropéndola waterfall is a very impressive 82-foot high natural shower. The emerald green water invites for a refreshing dive. The waterfall is located in a beautiful vegetated canyon, the beauty of which you ll enjoy. Participants will travel by horseback to the waterfall. Please note at the end of the trail there is a short walk to get to the canyon. Although the last part of the trail is easy, it cannot be done via horse. At the waterfall we have a longer break before returning to the Hacienda. Please note the canopy tour activity is not suitable for pregnant women. Participant weight limit is 200 pounds. Participants must be at least 8 years of age. Schedule: 9.5 hours, door to door Pick Up: 7:30 a.m. Return: 5:00 p.m. Wonders of Costa Rica Palo Verde National Park is a wildlife sanctuary. The refuge offers a fantastic chance to see crocodiles, monkeys, and thousands of birds.this is a must-see for nature lovers. The park is composed of different life zones, rivers, and a lake that forms during the rainy season. After touring the park, you'll take an interesting trip through the Matambú Coffee Plant's facilities, where you'll learn about the different processes for making coffee, from planting to treatment to recycling waste.you'll also learn about this area's coffee production, which is unique in Guanacaste, as well as the indigenous and rural cultural values of the region. And of course, you can't miss tasting a cup of exquisite Diria Coffee. The perfect tour for nature and coffee lovers.
