Pax: Group Joining Best Season : April to November Itinerary Details Day 01 : Drive to Kerung (140 km â 7 Hours) cross Nepal Tibet boarder and ove rnight stay at Kerung Tibet 2,900m Gather at Thamel and start driving early in the morning. 7 Hours driving is through Galchhi â Trisuli - Betrawoti â Dhunche and Shyaprubesi road. The scenic drive through local villag es and Langtang National Park. Walk about 20 minutes with your luggage to cross Nepal Tibet immigration. Meet Tibetan guide and drive to Tibet site of Kerung and overnight. Day 02 : Drive to Tingri (225km â 7 Hours) and overnight at guest house (4,300m) Driving today is through highest plateau of Tibet with scenic mountain views including Mount Everest, Xishapangma and Cho Oyu as well as beautiful Peikhu Tso Lake at 4,600 miters. Reach at Tingri and enjoy evening view of Mount Everest north site.

2 Day 03 : Drive to Shigatse (244 km â 8 Hours) and overnight at Hotel 3,900m It is driving via scenic mountain and beautiful lakes. Driving route pass several high passes including highest one Gyatshu La (5,200m). Shigatse is second largest city in Tibet and administrative center of west Tibet. Walk around the city and overnight Day 04 : Drive to Gyantse after visiting Tashilampo monatery in Shigatse (90km â 2 H ours) Overnight at Hotel (3,950m) After breakfast in Hotel, visit Tashilampo Monastery in Shigatse. Monastery is located in the hill of city and founded in 1447 by first Dalai Lama. Short drive to Gyantse and visit Kumbum Stupa and Phalkor Monastery. Walk around and stay overnight. Day 05 : Drive to Lhasa via Yamdrok Lake (262km â 6/7 hours) Overnight at Hotel 3,6 50m Drive to Lhasa from Gyantse is picturesque via several highest pass of Tibet. Karola Pass of 5,010 miters, Khambala Pass of 4,749 miters from where you can view panoramic mountain in the day of clear weather. Beautiful Yamdrok Lake on the way is another highlight today. Reach at Lhasa and transfer to Hotel. Day 06 : Sightseeing in Lhasa city. Visit Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple & Barkhor Bazaar. Overnight at Hotel Our guide will lead you to visit major attraction. Day 07 : Second day sightseeing in Lhasa. Visit Sera monastery and Drepung Monastery. Overnight at Hotel After breakfast in Hotel, drive to visit Sera Monastery, university of Tibetan Buddhist and it is house of over 3000 monks. You can explore activities of monks around. Another visit is Drepung monastery, is one of the "great three" Gelug university gompas of Tibet. The other two are Ganden Monastery and Sera Monastery. Accommodation in the trip This tour only provide you basic accommodation with breakfast in twin sharing room for 5 nights and group sharing rooms for 2 nights (Kerung and Tingri). You also have option to upgrade accommodation on the way paying extra amount directly. There are facilities of deluxe guest houses in Kerung, No other option in Tingri but there are up to 3 stars hotels in Shigatse and Gyantse. 3 start and up to 5 star hotels are available in Lhasa. The cost of basic accommodations is including in group joining Tibet tour, it does not refund if you even upgrade accommodation on the way and pay it yourselves. Weather and temperature in Tibet during this tour You will get almost like cold temperature all days. Days are quite hot inside your vehicle. Outside of vehicle is windy during the day time and morning and evening is cold temperature. You can expect maximum 18 degree and minimum 8 degree temperature in this tour. The minimum temperature will be in Tingri morning and night time, maximum at Lhasa. You may get rain in Tibet but not heavy. Snow fall on the way at high passes during October to February. You have to prepare with both kind of clothes, light for hot

Minimum days to prepare Tibet travel permit is 10 days but it will be better to confirm your trip earlier. After getting Tibet travel permit from Tibet Tourism Bureau (TTB), your travelling permit to Tibet is approved. With this permit, we again need to submit documents with your original passport for Tibet group visa to Chinese embassy Kathmandu. To obtain group visa, it takes another 3 full working days. Rules of Tibet, Permit and visa It is keep changing by Tibet (TTB) and Chinese Embassy Nepal. Rules are not stable and in case of any changes, their notification does not come previously. Due to their last hours rules changes, sometime peoples get suffer to get Tibet travel permit and group visa or not able to travel Tibet. There are many country peoples do not get Tibet permit and visa. Do not take picture and videos in immigration, checking points and security station You are forbidden taking any pictures and videos in security places, checking point and immigration of Tibet part. Every foreigner should buy Tibet travel package, Tibet do not allow traveling independent. All foreigners who want to travel Tibet must have Tibet travel permits, a tour guide and a private vehicle with driver. Absolutely no independent travel is allowed in Tibet. Any rumor you may have heard that foreigners can travel on their own in Tibet is n ot true. Your travel itinerary and travel route to Tibet should be fixed before applying Tibet travel permit. As per travel itinerary, foreigners get travel permit. You cannot change it in between. 8 Days Tibet group joining permit and itinerary is also fixed. It does not change as per personal interest. Travel further to China or fly back to Kathmandu after your trip You have two choices after 8 days Tibet tour. Either to travel mainland China or to fly back Kathmandu Nepal. You are not allowing to over stay at Tibet after 8 days of your tour. On day 8, you should leave Tibet. If you go to China by flight or travel by train same Tibet group visa valid for. We normally provide you separate paper visa of 30 days. With this visa you can travel to China without issuing any Chinese visa in your passport till Tibet visa valid date. If you want to stay more in China, you immediately have to extend your visa once you land at Chinese part. Next option is to fly back Kathmandu from Lhasa airport on day 8. There are Air china and Situan airlines flying almost every day to Kathmandu Nepal. Going further to China or coming back to Kathmandu, you should give us final plan before applying Tibetan permit. Do not bring any books, magazine or other documents related Lamas and Tibet. When you enter Tibet from Kerung immigration, your bags will be checked carefully in security check. It can be different situation if they find some documents, books, magazine or any other goods related with Lama and Tibet.
